Just Travelled here for a long weekend with friends for a hen weekend. I felt I had to write a review after some of the awful ones that have been posted. This hotel is great value for money. It is clean and the rooms are spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful and the pool area , although small, is pleasant and clean too. It is a little way out from the centre of Benidorm but a taxi is around 13euros and there are restaurants quite near by anyway. Located right on the beach and it was nice to have some peace and quite in the day times anyway. I'm not usually easily pleased but if you are looking for something cheap but still a decent place to stay then this will suit you.
The only good point is that the staff were helpful. The so called satellite television only had one channel. The water that came out of the shower was brown. The room was cleaned on our fifth day, we had to ask for clean towels, the towel rail fell off the wall when I tried to hang a towel on it. The room stank of smoke when we arrived. It was quite cold and the central heating didn't work so we were promised an electric heater which didn't material. The hot water was lukewarm at best. I could go on but I won't.
The apartments are basic but you have everything you need a good 40 mins walk from the centre of Benidorm we went mid week and it was lovely and quite . The day we were leaving a stag party arrived and they were very noisy so I should imagine at weekends the apartments can become noisy . Great views of the sea and you gets what you pay for . The reception staff very helpful
Lovely room but not sure we needed to be on the 19th floor as we seemed to be the only guests there, although we did have excellent views along the coastline!! When we first arrived we noticed a sign in the lift saying the water would be off between 8 & 1:30 on the Wednesday to find out it was off from 2am. Good job me & the Mrs aren't high maintenance. Literally 2 minutes from the beach in what seemed to be a residential area and about a 30 minute walk to the centre of Benidorm. The sun was out in the morning but soon clouded over, making it quite chilly, probably like a spring morning in the UK however the majority of people we passed felt the need to wear scarfs and gloves.. Plenty of bars open for drinks and food but the main square is a taxi ride away costing about 7 euros. I would recommend staying at the El faro if you want to be in the quieter side of Benidorm
We booked this apartment for a 3 day break. The apartment was basic but very clean . The staff on reception where very helpful and the apartments are situated close to the beach . We had a great sea front view . We booked through Icelolly at a bargain price . What we got was a clean apartment close to the beach with great views.
We chose this hotel because of its location and the fact that the apartments have a full cooker and hob.
Location great for people or families wanting a quiet holiday away from most of the loud and drunk part goers
2 minute walk to poniente beach 10 minute walk to large supermarket Away from the main tourist part of benidorm About 35 min walk to old town
Apartment was basic but clean. We were staying as a family 2 adults, 1 teen and a 6yo.There were 2 singles in the bedroom and a sofa bed with a pull out section, making 2 more singles. However the pullout part was broken and the mattress with horrendous so we decided to push to 2 singles together in the bedroom which I shared with the kids. Hubby slept on the top of the sofa. This is really the only fault with the room. Cooker and hob worked well- you will need matches or a lighter Freezer had an ice box which could hold a lot. Bathroom was ok Also a small wet room with a sink which was useful Apartment keys are left in reception when you leave the building Reception is manned 24hours a day Reception staff were all friendly and helpful There is a gym on site which after several failed attempts to use (we kept being told that only members could use it even with offering to pay) we managed to pay €5 to use. Pool was freezing but that was to be expected being late oct-nov
Being late in the season the area was extremely quiet. Not all restaurants and shops were open, which was a shame but we managed to eat out and cook happily in our apartment. Our 7yo has life threatening allergies to nuts and peanuts and we had no problem with any food we had a translation card printed which we showed when we were ordering in restaurants plus our teenager is studying Spanish (our kids are home educated), so our teenager was able to spend time reading ingredients in the supermarkets. She did a fantastic job and it was very helpful for her to be around locals.
Beach is sandy, very soft and of a high standard in cleanliness There are toilets dotted along the beachfront. You must where shoes when you go into them (so I was told by a local) and remember loo roll as there wasn't any. We didn't hire any sunbeds at all, although you could for €4 a day. We just laid out our towels. Sea was lovely. Overall we had a great holiday. We would use this hotel again but we wouldn't go in high season as personally that time of year wouldn't suit us.
