APARTMENTS TORRE GERONA

1 min read

Read a lot of reviews and was a bit wary but it was fab so local, had everything you needed clean but basic only slept there so was just what we needed would defo go back the prostitutes gather outside but never bothered us
Just returned from 3 nights Thursday, Friday , Saturday . Usually stay at Torre San Diego but they were not available . We were not disappointed by Torre Gerona . The rooms were far quieter than the San Diego , therefore we did all manage to get a good nights sleep . Rooms were very clean , blankets were on the beds and additional in the cupboards . Wardrobe space was very limited if you were staying more than a couple of nights . We were 3 sharing a two bed apartment for three nights, so it wasn't too bad . Hot water to shower was always available , the kitchen was quite well equipped as was the laundry area , for drying towels etc . Would definitely book Torre Gerona again , great value for the price we paid . Very happy
I stayed at the Torre Gerona for 3 nights on the 19th of March with a group of 4 other girls, had to pick keys up from Aquarium 11 and paid a €150 deposit! We were really impressed with our room a twin bedroom, single room and sofa bed that pulled out to make 2 beds, kitchen and small utility room with washing machine! In the perfect location right next to KFC and all the bars. Our room smelt of bleach on arrival and was so clean, apartments were safe our only problem was the bathroom door locking one night and we couldn't get in til they came to fix it next day, all in all would recommend staying here it's ideal for groups and we had the best weekend ever :) oh and as we left on the Sunday the office to take keys back wasn't open so we got to keep our room on til we left in the evening.. Bonus
ideally suited to groups of lads/gents, girls/ladies or couples looking for a lively time. I found these apts quite during the night, considering all the nite life you could want is on your doorstep. Very clean apts, with lots of kitchen equipment should you need; even a washing machine. The only gripe being no reception, so a 10 min walk to check in a 150e deposit was required for each room, which I put on a card because we left at 7 in the morning. we left the apts clean, tidy and no damage and the deposit was refunded, no problem. Highly recommended.
Room Tip: ideal for 3 persons. The third bed is a proper separate bedroom for one, not a sofa in the living room.
.Great apartments opposite Rocky's on the strip. Good security. To get into apartments you have to have a key for the gate and another for the apartment block. We booked a one bed but on arrival got a two bed. Nice and clean and bigger than some apartments I've stayed in in Benidorm. Washing machine, kettle, microwave, balcony etc. €150 euro deposit was back in my bank account yesterday (two days after I left Benidorm). If you want a clean, basic, central and cheapish apartment, then I reccomend you ignore all the negative reviews and book these. I would definitely book again!
I booked Torre San Diego with Roundtown Travel on their open day a year before. 2 weeks before our start date we was changed to Torre Gerona. As I suffer with arthritis and it was February I checked what times the central heating is on and was told 6 to 10 morning and the same in the evening, I was also offered free British TV, free Wi-fi and safe deposit box. Torre Gerona had no central heating only an electric heater and if you turned on it blew the power. The electric kettle didn't work so to boil water on cooker you had to turn off the lights and TV or again the power tripped out. We had 18 power cuts in one evening. We purchased our own kettle. Large TV satellite dish on balcony with cable running over patio door frame so you could not lock patio door. No British TV only some foreign channels. Their was no safe deposit box and no wi-fi. Spoke to others in the block and we was all cold and complaining. The bedding smelt very bad. Continually argued with Roundtown travel for 2 days until they agreed to move us, which spoilt my daughter's holiday as she was only there for the first week. My advise is do not book anything on an open day as you will not get what you are seeing. Very disappointed with Roundtown Travel. Telling me "well this is Spain" is not the answer as I did not book this terrible accommodation. STAY AWAY.
